DIAMONDS 101 with Bellman’s Jewelers

*This event is capped at 50 people on a first come, first serve basis and you must use the MYPN RSVP. Confirmation emails will be sent out and we will have a wait list.

When purchasing a diamond always think of the 4 C's: Carat Weight, Color, Clarity, and Cut. Carat is the weight of the diamond. Color, or lack thereof, may range from colorless to shades of yellow or brown. Clarity is determined by the amount of inclusions the diamond may or may not have. All of these factors are important; however, the cut is the most important. A perfect cut is what gives the diamond the brilliance and radiance that one expects from a diamond. Bellman Jewelers has many different cuts to choose from; but we are most famous for our Ideal Cut, Hearts and Arrows Cut, and now our newest called the Forever Cut. To know more about what sets us apart for other jewelers please come to our presentation on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010. We will set up 4 learning stations one for Carat, Color, Clarity and Cut each explaining the importance of the individual 4 C’s.

Annual Birthday Event and Major Announcement

You are invited to join us for our 4th Birthday! The Manchester Young Professionals Network is excited to celebrate our fourth year energizing Manchester at a party hosted by the Currier Museum of Art.

To add to the excitement of this event, we’ll be in the company of many great leaders. Don’t be surprised if you see the likes of Robert F. Kennedy, Ted Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt, Jimmy Carter, and Richard Nixon and other great American personalities and political leaders. An exhibit of Andy Warhol’s greatest works will hang on the walls as we shake up Manchester’s newly-expanded museum.

The Campbell’s soup can is iconic of Warhol’s pop art and artistic cultural commentary, with a MYPN twist of course. Expect drinks, food, and decorations – all reminiscent of The Factory! Don’t miss your chance to Warhol-ize Yourself with a digital photo and groove to DJ Buzz.

The festivities will begin at 6pm sharp, and don’t be late. While America’s greatest leaders will be on the wall, Manchester’s own great leaders – and the next generation of great leaders – will be in for a special announcement. Be there when MYPN unveils a powerful new program which will propel a few great YPs further and faster. This is also a great event to bring your boss, mentor, and friends along.

    March Business Event

    Be.Image Intelligent

Is your current look supporting your success or undermining it? Join us for a presentation on the value of image and appearance.

When we first meet someone, we usually make a snap judgment about that person based on what we see. We consider their looks, wardrobe, style, their implied social status, and their likeability. All of this happens without conscious effort on our part; it's what is known as the "first impression." In order to make the best first impression, your total image must send the right signals. Your image projects a powerful reflection of the values, skills, and beliefs you possess. In this session, learn how to use your image as a tool to help you reach your career goals, understand the different levels of business dress, and how to dress appropriately for any occasion. You will learn key strategies to help you develop a confident, polished and well-put-together look.
